WORLD MUSIC DAY CELEBRATION 2026

World Music Day observation at New Stewart School
New Stewart School celebrated World Music Day with great joy and enthusiasm. Master Suprateek Sahoo of 8 D, Master Asish Behera 8 A, Master Ankit Sahani, 8 B,Master Suswasteek Sahoo 7A and Master Emanuel Behera of 4 B participated in musical performances and instrumental presentations, showcasing their talent and love for music.They were guided by Mrs. Sulata Behera and Mr Premasish Jena.

The programme highlighted the importance of music in bringing happiness, creativity and unity.

The celebration created a lively atmosphere and encouraged students to appreciate the universal language of music.
The event concluded with applause and memorable performances by the students.

INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY CELEBRATION 2026

International Yoga Day Observation
Our school observed International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm.
The program started with a word of prayer by our Principal Rev Mojesh Mohanty.
Students and teachers participated in a yoga session and practised different asanas and breathing exercises.
Miss Shryanshi Mishra of std 9C assisted Mr. Amulya Kumar Behera, our Physical Education Teacher in conducting the program.

The programme highlighted the importance of yoga for physical fitness, mental peace and a healthy lifestyle.

The event ended with a message of health, harmony and well-being for all.

 

WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY 2026

World Environment Day 2026 โ€“ Plantation Programme
New Stewart School, Cuttack | 05.06.2026

To mark World Environment Day, New Stewart School, Cuttack organized a plantation programme in the school premises today in collaboration with the District Legal Services Authority, Cuttack and the Forest Department.

Our Scouts and Guides actively participated with great enthusiasm, planting saplings and taking a pledge to protect Mother Earth. The programme was graced by our Principal , Rev. Mojesh Mohanty Sir and Activity Coordinator Mr. Alok Prakash Sahu Sir, whose presence encouraged the students. Guided by Mrs. Barsha Biswas Guide Captain.

A special orientation session was conducted by the Speaker/Instructor Miss Sharmili Nayak, Forest Department, Cuttack and Mr.Jagdish Chandra Jena OJS, from DLSA, C6uttack. He sensitized the students on the importance of environmental conservation, legal duties towards nature, and simple daily habits to keep our surroundings clean and green. His words inspired all to become responsible โ€œGreen Ambassadorsโ€.

Living the Scout/Guide motto โ€œService Before Selfโ€, our students pledged to nurture the plants and spread awareness on reducing plastic, saving water, and protecting biodiversity.

The children came together to celebrate and express their love and gratitude for their mothers. With heartfelt messages and kind gestures, they honored the care, patience, and love that mothers give every day. MOTHERS’ DAY CELEBRATION

Mother’s day was observed in the school. All the lady staff were presented with gifts as a mark of respect and honour by our Secretary Sir and Principal Sir .

The program was hoisted by Miss Ipshita Ojha. Secretary Sir Mr. Vikram N Adams, addressed all the mothers with a motivational speech a word of prayer was offered for all the mothers by our Principal Rev. Mojesh Mohanty .

Closing Ceremony of the Summer Hockey Coaching Camp 2026

The Closing Ceremony of the Summer Hockey Coaching Camp 2026 was held at Stewart School, Cuttack, in the presence of distinguished guests , parents, teachers, and students of various schools of Cuttack.
The programme began with a prayer by Rev F. C North, followed by the welcome and felicitation of the guests by Mr. Biswaranjal Samal, Advisor of Cuttack Schools Hockey Club, Cuttack.

The young hockey players were encouraged through inspiring messages from the Chief Guest Mr. Subasish Sahu and Guest of Honour Ms. Saudamini Das.

Prizes were awarded to the winners of the exhibition match, and outstanding participants were recognized for their performance and dedication by the Chief Guest, Guest of Honour and Mr. B D Das Sir.

The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Rev. F. C. North, Coordinator of Cuttack Schools Hockey Club, Cuttack who appreciated all who have contributed to the success of the camp.

The program was hosted by Master Ranveer Prakash Sahu and Miss Shreyanshi Rao of New Stewart School.
Mr Alok Prakash Sahu, our Activity Coordinator, Mr . Amulya Kumar Behera , Mr. Somadutta Rao, Mr. Premasish Jena , Mrs. Sujata Samal,ย  Mrs. Supriti Behera from New Stewart School were actively involved in the making of the program.

Summer Camp
Football and Basketball Activities

The summer camp at New Stewart School witnessed enthusiastic participation in basketball and football activities, where students displayed remarkable energy, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Under the guidance of trained instructors, participants learned essential skills, techniques, and game strategies while improving their physical fitness and coordination.
The sessions encouraged discipline, cooperation, and confidence, creating an enjoyable and engaging environment. The activities not only enhanced studentsโ€™ sporting abilities but also instilled values of teamwork and perseverance .They were guided by our Physical Education teachers Mr. Amulya Behera and Mr. Premasish Jena.

Summer camp on Stitching and Embroidery

“Every Stitch Tells a Tale”
At New Stewart school students explored various stitching techniques including running stitch, chain stitch, cross stitch, blanket stitch, hemming, and sequin work. Beyond learning skills, they developed patience, focus, and creativity.
The camp provided a joyful hands-on experience where every stitch reflected learning, effort, and pride.
Children learnt the simple techniques of stitching which they can imply in their daily lives.

14th May

Drinking Water Shed Programย 

The New Stewart School, Cuttack organized a โ€œJal Chhatraโ€ Drinking Water Shed from 9:30-10:30 AM today. All Guides served cool drinking water to passersby and commuters, living the motto โ€œService Before Self.โ€

We were honoured to have Mrs. Ranjita Pradhan Madam, District Guider, Kaji Bazar High School, whose presence and guidance greatly inspired our students.

The activity built teamwork, leadership, and the spirit of selfless service. Thanks to all who made it a success.

E flyer and power point presentation
Students learnt to design e flyers and make power point presentation during the summer camp from our mentor Mr Somdutta Rao and Mrs Jayshree Das.

The learning by doing method will surely make them self reliant and boost their confidence and eradicate the fear of using computers in their daily lives.

Day 5 โ€“ ๐ŸŒž Summer Camp 2026 | Scout & Guide Training Class

The Scouts & Guides of were engaged in a hands-on _knotting session_alog with scarf folding today. They learnt essential scout knots and the use of it , practical applications in daily life and camps.

Outcome: Students developed fine motor skills, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities while understanding that a Scout/Guide is prepared for any situation. The class was focused, fun, and full of learning by doing.

8 th May
Art and SUPW activities
Our school summer activity camp was filled with creativity and joy. Students were happily engaged in art and craft, painting beautiful flowers and leaves with bright colours.
Teachers guided them and encouraging them at every step, making learning fun and interactive. The classroom atmosphere was filled with teamwork, excitement, and imagination.
Such activities helped children to develop creativity, confidence, and fine motor skills.
It is truly wonderful to see students learning through fun during their summer holidays.

Day 4 โ€“ ๐ŸŒž Summer Camp 2026 | Scout & Guide Training Class

On Day 4 Scouts and Guides learnt the Flag Procedure, concept of Good Turn & Swasthan, the meaning & significance of the National Flag, Bharat Scout/Guide Flag, World Scout Flag, and World Guide Flag.

Outcome: Students now understood flag etiquette, the symbolism of each flag, and the value of daily good deeds, strengthening their respect for the nation and the movement.

6th May(Day 3 of summer camp)

โ€‹Painting our summer with every color of the rainbow! ๐ŸŒˆ Day 3 was filled with bright smiles and even brighter artwork from our Grade 1 & 2 stars.

Day 3 โ€“ ๐ŸŒž Summer Camp 2026 | Scout & Guide Training Class

The third day of Summer Camp 2026 at New Stewart School, Cuttack began with energy and enthusiasm.

All Scouts and Guides performed Lord Baden-Powellโ€™s BP 6 Exercises and learnt the health benefits of each exercise, making it a refreshing morning routine.

The second session was an interactive theory class on Uniform and Badges, where students understood the correct way of wearing the uniform, the meaning of each part, and the significance of proficiency badges.

5 th May
Event Management Session

A session on Event Management was conducted on 5th May 2026 as part of the Summer Camp activities. The session highlighted event management as the systematic planning and execution of events. Key processes discussed included planning, budgeting, organizing, and evaluation. Participants also learned about the roles of event managers, coordinators, and vendors, along with different types of guests such as VIPs, chief guests, and invitees.

Zumba and Aerobics

Children enjoyed the Zumba and Aerobics session. Children enjoyed the session with lot of enthusiasm and energy.

Indoor games
Chess and Ludo
Children enjoyed chess and ludo with their peers. They had a good time with friends and were engaged in the activity.

Day 2 โ€“ Summer๐Ÿ”† Camp 2026 | Scout & Guide Theory Class

It was an interactive theory class where students learnt the history of scouting, memorized the prayer song, flag song, and national anthem. They also understood the Scout & Guide Law, Motto, Promise, and the significance of the Scout Salute, Scout Sign, and Left Hand Shake.

The session was engaging and helped develop the right mindset among the young scouts and guides.

We had included many indoor games like carrom, chess and ludo. Children enjoyed it with their peers.
