Teachers’ Day Celebration 2026

New Stewart School, Cuttack Celebrated Teachers’ Day with Grandeur – Theme: “The GenAlpha Mentors”

Cuttack, 5th September 2026 – New Stewart School, Cuttack celebrated Teachers’ Day with immense enthusiasm and heartfelt gratitude to honour the invaluable contribution of teachers in shaping young minds.

The celebration,was held at the School Basketball Ground. The program commenced at 7:45 AM with a soulful prayer by Principal sir and a warm welcome address by anchors Swaleha and Akshita from std 9.

A Vibrant Showcase of Talent (Std 3 to NIOS)

The highlight of the day was a series of captivating performances presented by the students from Standard 3 to NIOS. The students left no stone unturned to make their mentors feel special:

– The celebration began with a graceful poem and a melodious group song dedicated to teachers.
– Students of junior classes presented a heart-touching action song expressing their love and respect.
– A special orchestra was also organised by std 8 students
– Senior students and NIOS students enthralled the audience with a power-packed dance fusion , humourous acts and attractive games.

The performances were a beautiful blend of emotion, respect and creativity, reflecting the deep bond between students and teachers.The cultural program ended with the cake cutting ceremony and vote of thanks by Chirasmita miss.

Felicitation of Staff Members

The management of New Stewart School believes that every staff member is a pillar of the institution. On this special occasion, all teaching and non-teaching staff members were felicitated with tokens of love and appreciation for their tireless dedication, commitment and service to the institution. The Principal, in his address, lauded the efforts of the entire staff and highlighted the role of teachers as mentors, guides and friends for the Gen Alpha generation.

The program concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Barsha Rani Das madam , leaving behind fond memories and smiling faces. It was truly a day that celebrated the spirit of teaching and learning.

Shining Achievement in Badminton

Sraddha Shreyanshi Swain, a talented student of Class 4C, New Stewart School, has brought laurels to the school by emerging as the U-13 Singles and Doubles Champion at the State Level-2 Badminton Championship organised by Yonex -Sunrise All ODISHA level -2 state championship organised by Cuttack District Badminton Association at Naya Bazar from 21 st to 24 th August.

Her outstanding performance, determination and sporting spirit are truly commendable. The school congratulates Sraddha Shreyanshi on this remarkable achievement and wishes her continued success in all her future endeavours

EDUCATIONAL TRIP TO CENTURION UNIVERSITY

Educational Visit to Centurion University
The students of std 10 C , visited Centurion University as part of an educational exposure programme. The visit offered them an enriching opportunity to gain practical insights into various aspects of medical science, healthcare and laboratory technology.
During the visit, the students explored the Central Laboratory and observed bacterial growth on agar plates, the incubation room, hot air oven and CPR section. They also visited the Optometry Lab, Operation Theatre (OT), ICU and Physiotherapy Lab, gaining a better understanding of modern healthcare practices.
The students were introduced to blood sample collection, CBC analysis and the centrifuge process. They also witnessed advanced diagnostic technology, including a CT scanning system designed to operate without conventional ionising radiation. Another interesting feature was the Healthcare on Wheels van, which highlighted the importance of accessible healthcare services.
The visit was an informative and enriching experience, enabling the students to connect their classroom learning with real-world applications and inspiring them to explore the diverse fields of healthcare and medical technology.

OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT IN TABLE TENNIS

Outstanding Achievement in Table Tennis
Zaid Khan, Tasnim Khan, Sayed Arsh Ali and Suvankar Mahali emerged as Champions in the Under-17 Doubles Table Tennis Championship at the 7th Inter-School and 31st YGTTA Table Tennis Tournament.
Adding to the achievement, Zaid Khan secured the Runners-up position in the Under-17 Men’s Singles category
The school congratulates the talented players on their remarkable performance and wishes them continued success in their sporting journey.

EXTEMPORE COMPETITION YMCA

YMCA INTER SCHOOL NATIONAL ANTHEM COMPETITION 2026

Learning beyond the classroom

Venue: Pashupati Agrovet, Jagatpur
Students: Class 10 & 11

An educational trip to Pashupati Agrovet, Jagatpur was organized for the students of Class 10 and 11 on 7 th August.

Pashupati Agrovet is a leading industry where animal and bird fodder is produced. The main objective of the trip was to give students practical knowledge about the agro and feed industry and how science is used in daily life.

The students were warmly welcomed by the industry officials. They were taken around the plant and shown the entire process — from raw material selection, grinding, mixing, pellet making, to quality testing and packaging. Students learnt how different nutrients are added to make balanced fodder for cows, goats, poultry and other birds.

The trip was very informative and interactive. Students asked many questions and cleared their doubts about animal nutrition, machinery, and hygiene standards.

The visit gave them real-life exposure to how industries work and inspired many students to think about careers in agriculture and food technology.

CISCE REGIONAL CRICKET CHAMPIONSHIP

Proud Achievement in CISCE Regional Cricket Championship

We are delighted to announce that two students from our school Abhiswarup Nayak and Anshuman Panda proudly represented the school in the CISCE Regional Cricket Championship held at Brahmapur, Odisha.

Displaying outstanding skill, discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship throughout the tournament, they made a significant contribution to their team’s success. Their team emerged as the Champions of the CISCE Regional Cricket Championship.

This remarkable achievement is a matter of immense pride for our school and reflects the students’ hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence in sports. We congratulate both students on this well-deserved success and wish them continued achievements in their future sporting endeavors.

Congratulations to our young champions as well as our Physical Education teacher Mr. Premasish Jena for his guidance and mentorship as coach for the U 17 team. We wish them many more successes in the years ahead.

 

MOCK FIRE DRILL

Mock Fire Drill
A Mock Fire Drill was conducted at New Stewart School to create awareness about fire safety and emergency preparedness. Students and staff participated actively, following evacuation procedures in a calm and orderly manner. They assembled at the designated safe area, where attendance was taken to ensure everyone’s safety.

A demonstration on the proper use of fire extinguishers and important fire safety measures was also conducted. The drill helped students understand the importance of staying calm, acting responsibly, and following safety instructions during emergencies.

It was conducted under the guidance of our Physical education teacher Mr.  Amulya Behera in the presence of Principal sir, Coordinators, teachers and other staff members.
