New Stewart School celebrated National Sports Day on 29th August with great enthusiasm to mark the birth anniversary of hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand Singh. The celebration began with a prayer led by our Principal Rev. Mojesh Mohanty sir.

An inter-house football match was conducted, where Mother Teresa House emerged victorious and received prizes. The Sports Captain, Solomon Sahoo, and Vice-Captain, Afia Mosim, delivered inspiring speeches emphasizing the value of sports in building discipline, character, and fitness.

The event successfully promoted the spirit of sportsmanship and highlighted the vital role of sports and athletes in society.

New Stewart School conducted a workshop on the POSH Act, 2013 on 21st August 2025 to promote a safe and respectful workplace. The program began with a prayer by Rev. Mojesh Mohanty and was addressed by Advocate Siddharth Kumar Das, Advocate Barsha Rani Sahoo, Child Protection Consultant, Stewart School, Cuttack, Mrs. Mercy Rout, the Secretary of Diocesan Women’s Fellowship of Christian Service. The resource persons highlighted the role of the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) and stressed awareness, accountability, and empowerment against harassment.

With this spirit, New Stewart School, Cuttack celebrated the 79th Independence Day on 15th August 2025 with great zeal and enthusiasm. The celebration began with a prayer led by our Principal Rev. Moses Mohanty, followed by the flag hoisting ceremony. Esteemed Chief Guest Rev. Ajay Behera unfurled the National Flag, after which the gathering joined in singing the National Anthem.
Following this, our Secretary Sir Mr. Vikram N Adams warmly introduced the Chief Guest to the audience.
The Chief Guest then delivered an inspiring address on the significance of Independence Day. The event also featured a prize distribution ceremony and a vibrant cultural programme showcasing patriotism. The celebration concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Ava Biswal, leaving everyone with renewed pride and commitment towards the nation.
