Football and Basketball Activities

The summer camp at New Stewart School witnessed enthusiastic participation in basketball and football activities, where students displayed remarkable energy, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Under the guidance of trained instructors, participants learned essential skills, techniques, and game strategies while improving their physical fitness and coordination.
The sessions encouraged discipline, cooperation, and confidence, creating an enjoyable and engaging environment. The activities not only enhanced studentsโ€™ sporting abilities but also instilled values of teamwork and perseverance .They were guided by our Physical Education teachers Mr. Amulya Behera and Mr. Premasish Jena.

Summer camp on Stitching and Embroidery

“Every Stitch Tells a Tale”
At New Stewart school students explored various stitching techniques including running stitch, chain stitch, cross stitch, blanket stitch, hemming, and sequin work. Beyond learning skills, they developed patience, focus, and creativity.
The camp provided a joyful hands-on experience where every stitch reflected learning, effort, and pride.
Children learnt the simple techniques of stitching which they can imply in their daily lives.

14th May

Drinking Water Shed Programย 

The New Stewart School, Cuttack organized a โ€œJal Chhatraโ€ Drinking Water Shed from 9:30-10:30 AM today. All Guides served cool drinking water to passersby and commuters, living the motto โ€œService Before Self.โ€

We were honoured to have Mrs. Ranjita Pradhan Madam, District Guider, Kaji Bazar High School, whose presence and guidance greatly inspired our students.

The activity built teamwork, leadership, and the spirit of selfless service. Thanks to all who made it a success.

E flyer and power point presentation
Students learnt to design e flyers and make power point presentation during the summer camp from our mentor Mr Somdutta Rao and Mrs Jayshree Das.

The learning by doing method will surely make them self reliant and boost their confidence and eradicate the fear of using computers in their daily lives.

Day 5 โ€“ ๐ŸŒž Summer Camp 2026 | Scout & Guide Training Class

The Scouts & Guides of were engaged in a hands-on _knotting session_alog with scarf folding today. They learnt essential scout knots and the use of it , practical applications in daily life and camps.

Outcome: Students developed fine motor skills, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities while understanding that a Scout/Guide is prepared for any situation. The class was focused, fun, and full of learning by doing.

Art and SUPW activities
Our school summer activity camp was filled with creativity and joy. Students were happily engaged in art and craft, painting beautiful flowers and leaves with bright colours.
Teachers guided them and encouraging them at every step, making learning fun and interactive. The classroom atmosphere was filled with teamwork, excitement, and imagination.
Such activities helped children to develop creativity, confidence, and fine motor skills.
It is truly wonderful to see students learning through fun during their summer holidays.

Day 4 โ€“ ๐ŸŒž Summer Camp 2026 | Scout & Guide Training Class

On Day 4 Scouts and Guides learnt the Flag Procedure, concept of Good Turn & Swasthan, the meaning & significance of the National Flag, Bharat Scout/Guide Flag, World Scout Flag, and World Guide Flag.

Outcome: Students now understood flag etiquette, the symbolism of each flag, and the value of daily good deeds, strengthening their respect for the nation and the movement.

6th May(Day 3 of summer camp)
Bright & Joyful
โ€‹Painting our summer with every color of the rainbow! ๐ŸŒˆ Day 3 was filled with bright smiles and even brighter artwork from our Grade 1 & 2 stars.

Day 3 โ€“ ๐ŸŒž Summer Camp 2026 | Scout & Guide Training Class

The third day of Summer Camp 2026 at New Stewart School, Cuttack began with energy and enthusiasm.

All Scouts and Guides performed Lord Baden-Powellโ€™s BP 6 Exercises and learnt the health benefits of each exercise, making it a refreshing morning routine.

The second session was an interactive theory class on Uniform and Badges, where students understood the correct way of wearing the uniform, the meaning of each part, and the significance of proficiency badges.

5 th May
Event Management Session

A session on Event Management was conducted on 5th May 2026 as part of the Summer Camp activities. The session highlighted event management as the systematic planning and execution of events. Key processes discussed included planning, budgeting, organizing, and evaluation. Participants also learned about the roles of event managers, coordinators, and vendors, along with different types of guests such as VIPs, chief guests, and invitees.

Zumba and Aerobics

Children enjoyed the Zumba and Aerobics session. Children enjoyed the session with lot of enthusiasm and energy.

Indoor games
Chess and Ludo
Children enjoyed chess and ludo with their peers. They had a good time with friends and were engaged in the activity.

Day 2 โ€“ Summer๐Ÿ”† Camp 2026 | Scout & Guide Theory Class

It was an interactive theory class where students learnt the history of scouting, memorized the prayer song, flag song, and national anthem. They also understood the Scout & Guide Law, Motto, Promise, and the significance of the Scout Salute, Scout Sign, and Left Hand Shake.

The session was engaging and helped develop the right mindset among the young scouts and guides.
